Since taking on the DARPA Grand Challenge in 2004, and winning in 2005, VW has been at the forefront of autonomous driving.
At Volkswagen’s Electronics Research Lab (“the ERL”), their work is targeted at near term applications as well as more far-reaching research that may be applicable 10, 15 or 20 years into the future. By collaborating with Silicon Valley companies, and parallel efforts back in Germany, the ERL will continue to develop software and electronics that will enable new applications to make driving safer and more enjoyable.
PCD worked with the ERL to develop “The Future is Now” presentation, showroom layout and information graphics for their office opening in April 2011.
